We organized a trip to the southern most tip of mainland Asia, Tanjung Piai. Tanjung Piai is a place full with different species of flora and fauna, just same like what other national parks have. She is also famous with birdwatching during the migratory season around March and September. It is placed between the Tebrau Straits and Straits of Malacca. From Tanjung Piai, you may see Singapore and Indonesia.

We were on the sourthern most tip of Mainland Asia!

Tanjung Piai – Sourthern Most Tip of Mainland Asia

Tanjung Piai is a National Park located in the district of Pontian, Johor. There are two entry points to Tanjung Piai, one is at Sungai Belukang and another one at Desa Sri Piai. You just need to pay for just RM3 for Malaysian adults and RM5 for foreign visitors to visit the park.

When come to entrance, you will see this “stone”!!!

There was camp sites provided in Tanjung Piai so we decided to have a different experience over there. To camp at the park, fees are RM3 per person and tent rental is RM10 a unit per night. Once we arrived there, we set up our camp where the camp sites were on top of the swamps.

After setting up the camp, we went to explore around Tanjung Piai. The swamps are all around Tanjung Piai and we walked along the bridge. Finally we reached at a signboard mentioned that we were in the southern most tip of mainland Asia. We can even see the Malacca Straits along Tanjung Piai.

Finally we standing on the sourthern most tip!

At night, we had a camp fire and we all gathered together to play a ring game. The ring game was using our hair to tight the ring and can test when you will get married!
